How we list retreat centres, what we publish, how to claim your listing, and how to request removal.
Dhamma Retreats (dhammaretreats.com) is a free public directory of Buddhist retreat centres, monasteries, and meditation programmes across India. We do not charge centres any commission, listing fee, or booking fee. We are not a booking platform — we connect seekers with centres and direct all enquiries to the centre itself.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in partnership with any of the retreat organisations listed on this site unless a centre has explicitly opted in and their listing is marked as Claimed & Managed.
Directory listings on this site are created from publicly available information — the same information anyone can find via a search engine. This includes:
Centre name, tradition, location, publicly listed contact details (phone numbers and email addresses that appear on the centre's own website or public directories), type of retreat programmes offered, and links to the centre's official website.
What we do not publish without permission: Photos, logos, or written descriptions copied directly from a centre's website. All descriptions on this site are written by us in our own words. Where a centre's own images are used, this is noted and is subject to removal on request.
This approach is consistent with how public directories such as Google Maps, JustDial, and TripAdvisor operate. A listing on this site does not imply that the centre has endorsed, approved, or partnered with Dhamma Retreats.
If you represent a retreat centre listed on this site, you can claim your listing for free. Claiming gives you full control over your page — you can update descriptions, add photos, correct details, and have your listing marked as Claimed & Managed by the Centre.
If you would prefer your centre not to appear on this site, you have the right to request removal. We will act on all removal requests within 48 hours.
To request removal, email hello@dhammaretreats.com with the subject "Remove listing — [Centre Name]". Please include confirmation that you are an authorised representative of the centre. We do not require a reason.
We honour all removal requests, no questions asked. Our goal is to serve the Buddhist community, not to list organisations that would prefer not to be listed.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure listings are accurate at the time of publication. However, retreat schedules, fees, programmes, and contact details change. Information on unclaimed listings may be out of date.
We are not liable for inaccuracies. Seekers should always confirm details — dates, availability, fees, and requirements — directly with the retreat centre before travelling. Links to centres' official websites are provided on every listing page for this purpose.
If you notice an inaccuracy in any listing, please write to hello@dhammaretreats.com and we will correct it promptly.
This site publishes only contact information that centres have already made publicly available — phone numbers, email addresses, and website URLs that appear on the centre's own site or public directories. We do not publish personal home addresses, personal phone numbers, or any information that the centre has not itself made public.
If any contact information on this site is out of date, incorrect, or was not intended to be public, please write to us and we will remove or correct it within 48 hours.
